Happy New Year!

Here's to a happy and healthy 2009. We will be ringing in the new year with our friends Adam and Jeannie and Helder and Kristin, who all live in our building. This has been our tradition for years and its nice to see friends, but not be out traveling. We are looking forward to spending time with Mike, Kelly and Devin on Saturday to finally have our Christmas dinner.
Meredith went ice skating with her friend Amber today, she really loves skating and gets better and better all the time.
Marcus spend some time playing video games with a friend. Tommy spend the day working from home, which really means him trying to catch up on his Netflix DVD's with frequent interrupting phone calls.
I spent the day working at Om Aroma, I made a facial scrub and helped stock the cream inventory.
All in all, a good day.

Post-holidays

Well, we had a very Merry Christmas. Started with a nice, if a little chaotic
Christmas eve. service. Then home to bed to wait for Santa. The kids left
Santa apple pie and carrots for the reindeer.
To our surprise the kids slept until 8:00 am on Christmas morning, Tom
and I had to lay in bed and wait for them to wake up.
Everyone got something they wanted and were very happy with their gifts.
We spent the day lounging around and playing with our new toys. I did some
cooking, made a yummy chicken pot pie, with homemade crust and everything.
Then in the evening our friends Greg, Rosie, Lily and little Daphne came over
for a glass of wine and snacks. The kids had fun playing together.
Yesterday, I took the kids and a couple of friends ice skating, Marcus had
received skates from Santa and was anxious to try them out. They all had
a lot of fun, and not too many spills on the ice.
We will probably spend the rest of the break trying to remember what day it
is, relaxing, working on some homework and seeing friends.
